Henry Joseph Vega Jr., born in Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 3, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. He was 75 years old.

Henry graduated from Tucson High in 1967 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served proudly in the Vietnam War. After receiving an honorable discharge, Henry returned to Tucson and dedicated much of his life to serving his community as a firefighter. He worked with the South Tucson Fire Department, eventually retiring as a Fire Captain after many years of loyal service.

Henry is remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his children: Tracy (Keith) Schaffer, Henry (Renee) Vega, and Raymond Vega (Traci Eikrem). His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Gabriel, Presley, Emmie, Enzo, Cole, and Darren.

His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory and the impact he made will live on in the lives he touched.  Rest in Peace, Dad. You will be greatly missed.
