David was a wrestler, so he knew how to work hard and endure pain.  I respected him tremendously as a wrestler and friend, but after high school he bacame a big advocate for kids, and I respected him even more.  David was a veteran who eventually developed diabetes.  Without being political, I have to say that the veteran's health system let him down big time when he needed it most.  He lost a leg and eventually his life to diabetes.
