Angel was a good friend. We met when we both attended Safford Junior High and THS, but we lost contact when I moved to Nogales, Arizona. After graduation I guess we both went on to serve our country, he in the National Guard and I in the Navy. We both started careers that would bring us together once again. He worked for Tucson Unified School District as a building inspector and I was working there too as a teacher at Safford Middle School. He was an avid golfer and I had picked up the sport and from that point on we became golfing partners. Angel had a great sense of humor so I and all the other golfing mates were laughing at the things he would say or do. We miss him.....Lumbre will always be with us.
