Melody Elaine Janzen

Melody E. Bond, age 71 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. 

Melody was born on November 15, 1949 in Hutchinson, Kansas.  She moved to Tucson with her parents in 1952.  She graduated from Tucson High School in 1967 and worked at Transamerica Insurance and Sedgwick-James in Tucson.

Melody had rheumatoid arthritis since the age of 18, and the progression of this disease led to her early retirement in 1990.  She and her husband, Dennis, moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2000, where they resided until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bertha Janzen.  She is survived by her husband; her sisters-in-law, Marcia Samoy (Calvin) Arvada, Colorado, and Kathy Brown (Ron) of Tucson; brother-in-law, Doug Bond of Helena, Montana; niece, Briana Cross of Helena; nephews, Craig and Kyle Samoy of Colorado and Ryan and Cody of Tucson; and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
