Manuel Richard Quintas

May 27, 1949 ~ January 17, 2016

Manuel Richard Quintas as born and raised in Tucson, Arizona.  After graduating from Tucson High School in 1967, he joined the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam and Gulf Wars.  

Richard worked for the City of Tucson and retired in 2003 after 34 years of service.  His last position was Maintenance Superintendent for Tucson Fire.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Perez Quintas (THS '68); three daughters, Maria Bustamante (Tony), Anna Sanders (Robert), and Christina Solano (Danny); seven grandchildren; and his nephew, Andy Moore.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Emma Burns Quintas; mother-in-law, Consuelo Perez; and sister, Anna Elsa Quintas.

Services:  St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 300 S. Tucson Boulevard, on Friday January 29, 2016.  Visitation of cremains from 10:10 to 10:30am, Memorial Mass at 10:30am.  Burial, military honors, and ringing of the last bell to follow at South Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Avenue, Tucson, Arizona.
