Anita Yanez Carrasco Holguin

July 26, 1947 ~ November 12, 2020

         On July 26, 1947, Ana, accompanied by her twin, best friend, and lifelong companion Adan (until his passing in May 2002), were welcomed into this world with much love and joy.  Sadly in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 12, 2020, God broke our hearts when he decided he needed our mom’s beautiful spirit and soul by his side.  She has entered into paradise and become our angel in heaven, forever watching over us.  In life she was our rock and strength; in death she will be our light forever shining.

         Mom had the biggest heart and most forgiving nature; she was a great person both inside and out.  She chose to always see the best in everyone.  She was a bilingual education teacher for many years and truly loved and cared for her students.  For her, it wasn’t just a job but a passion.  She embraced and became friends with many of the parents.

         She was giving and generous beyond belief.  She would literally give you the clothes off her back and the shoes off Danny’s feet.

         Just a few weeks ago she was able to experience her last family vacation in San Carlos.  She probably knew it would be her last because she decided to go only at the last minute.  She was happy and never complained on this trip and thoroughly enjoyed this time with her family.

         Over this last year of her life Mom suffered a great deal of pain.  We take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering, and she is free of pain and in peace.  She was always a very brave and strong woman and never gave up, even at the end, because she knew how much we still needed her in our lives.

         She loved her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren beyond belief; there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them.  With every fiber of her being, she loved her whole family: husband, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and those who became family.  Family was everything to her.

         Our mom leaves a big hole in all our hearts.  We can’t begin to express how much she is loved and how dearly she will be missed by all those who loved and love her still.  She will live in our hearts and souls forever, never forgotten, forever remembered.

         Mom, THANK YOU! for everything you were and will continue to be to us who love you.  We know you are now in God’s hands and kingdom watching over us.  Till we meet again, “Que Dios te bendiga,” may God bless you and keep you in his glory forever.

         Anita was predeased by her mother Maria Jesus Carrasco, Tia Maria Jesus Yanez, and twin brother Adan Carrasco.  She leaves behind her husband of almost 50 years, Jose Ramon; her three children, Rosa, Danny (Mara), and AnaMaria (John); eight grandchildren, Rosangelica (Josh), Monique (Mike), Adan, Aitana (Sergio), Andres (Seleena), Nicolas, Gabriel, Anitza; five great- grandchildren, Mariah, Aurora, Julian, Sergio and Madison; brothers, Ricardo (Carmen), Gilbert (Judy), and Enrique (Fay); and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, all too many to name.
